Meeting Notes
Monday, December 1
Attendance:
We met at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Lions Larry & Shelbe Stambaugh. Lion Lyle Stutzman delivered the invocation. We enjoyed a wonderful carry-in pot luck dinner. We had 20 members present for the evening.
Health and Welfare:
There were no Health and Welfare reports.
Reports:
Thank you cards and correspondence were read to all in attendance. Lion Larry Stambaugh read an e-mail thank you from Teddy Roser regarding our friendship and service to Lion Mike.
The Health and Welfare committee met to decide on our “Christmas Family in Need” donation for this year. The Poinsettias and fruit baskets had been ordered. We ordered 21 poinsettias and 12 Fruit Baskets. Pickup date for delivery was set for December 12th at Lion Linda Bowers’ house.
Lion Larry Stambaugh reported on the progress of the Middleburg Park building renovation. A work night was set up for Monday December 8th at 6:00 P.M. for more demolition work.
Lion Beth Sandifer reminded us of the Holiday Jazz Concert at Westminster High School benefiting Carroll Hospital Center and asked if any members wanted to help out. She also told us that the Essay Contest at Woodsboro/New Midway School was under way.
The 50-50 Drawing with a value of $10.50 was won by Lion Dick Bowers and he donated it back to the Administrative Fund.
Business:
There was no new business.

Monday, December 15
Attendance:
We gathered together at the home of Lions Jim & Kim Zinkand for our Lions Family Christmas Party. We enjoyed a wonderful carry-in pot luck dinner and plenty of time for socialization. We had 21 members and 6 guests present for the evening. Everyone had a wonderful time and we thank Jim & Kim for having our Christmas Party in their home.
Health and Welfare:
There were no Health and Welfare reports.
Reports:
We had just a little bit of business to attend to during the evening. Lion Beth Sandifer has reserved Buttersburg Inn for our February 2nd meeting. Cost will be $13.00 per person. We will have our Peace Poster Winner and Essay Contest Winners at that meeting. We will need to get a count for attendance by our second meeting in January.
She also mentioned a basket bingo fund raiser for Dick Michael and that she had a good time helping with a fund raiser for Carroll Hospital Center. We approved a donation to the Carroll County Times Holiday Hope Program.
Lion Linda Bowers reported on our Santa Visits (with 51 treats being given out) and the Poinsettias and fruit baskets (some still needing to be delivered).
Lion Terry Grable reported that we are moving forward with the building renovation at Middleburg Park.

Gettysburg, PA 17325. Cards and visitations would be much appreciated!
