We met at 6:30 p.m. at Middleburg Park. Lion President Beth Sandifer presided over the meeting.
Attendance: We had 22 members and 4 guests present for the evening. Our guests were Steve Mehring, Sarah Keefer, Charlie Cook and PDG John Hopkins. This was our Friendship & Prospective Members meeting. PDG John Hopkins had a 15 minute video on Lions Club services throughout our nation and the world. He followed with a question and answer session on the services that Lions provide. President Beth followed with activities and services that Terra Rubra Lions members do.
Health & Welfare: There were no reports.
Reports: Lion Larry Stambaugh reported that we are hooked up and using water from the new well. The inspection was scheduled for Wednesday, June 9th.
We presented four Scholarship Awards to area students. Lion Larry Gray talked about the presentations to our selected graduates.
Lion Kevin Trump reminded us of the Golf Tournament coming up on July 23rd at the Links of Gettysburg. Flyers were handed out to members.
Business: Lion President Beth reported on the Quilt Raffle sales. She also reminded new officers of the training meeting coming up on Saturday, June 12th at Carroll Community College.
The 50-50 drawing with a value of $13.50 was won by Lion Charlie Mehring and he donated it back to our Administrative Fund. Lion President Beth adjourned the meeting at 8:09 p.m. with a Board Meeting to follow.

Attendance: We had 19 members and 13 guests present for the evening. Our guests were PDG John Hopkins & Lion Sue Hopkins, Lions Wayne, Linda & Rick Sherfey from Taneytown Lions, Jerry & Marlene Stivers, Steve Mehring, Sarah Keefer, Charlie Cook, Harley Fouse, Grant Cox and Andrew Cox.
After introductions of guest, PDG John Hopkins took great pleasure in inducting Steve Mehring, Sarah Keefer and Charlie Cook as new members into the club. Lion President Beth presented Honorary Membership Certificates to Jerry & Marlene Stivers. She also presented a 15 year Service Chevron to Lion Randy Sandifer.
Reports: Lion Larry Stambaugh reported that the inspection was done on the new well and everything passed.
President Beth had a DVD of photos from the past year that she played. She also had photo booklets made up for each family. She presented gifts cards to Harley, Grant and Andrew for their assistance with some of the activities this year.
We took in $1073.00 on ticket purchases toward the Spring Quilt drawing. Marlene Stivers drew the winning ticket belonging to Rita Little.
Zone Chairman, Wayne Sherfey presented President Beth with a certificate of appreciation for our club donation to the White Cane Program.
PDG John Hopkins had the pleasure of installing our new officers for the coming year. After all the officers were installed to their respective positions, Immediate Past President Lion Beth Sandifer and new President Lion Kevin Trump presented each other with their respective pins. President Kevin also presented Past President Beth with her “Presidents Award” for an outstanding year as President. He also presented PDG John with an appreciation gift for his service of installing our new officers and inducting new members. He spoke of some of his goals for the coming year and reminded us of the Golf Tournament coming up on July 23rd at the Links of Gettysburg.
